Amelia Earhart Day!

Amelia Earhart Day honors a famous aviation pioneer. Amelia Earhart broke many early aviation records.
This day celebrates the birth of Amelia Earhart on July 24, 1897.

Legend and mystery surrounds the final flight and disappearance of Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan. They were on a record setting attempt to fly around the world, when they became lost in the Pacific Ocean. On July 2, 1937, they headed on a difficult leg of the journey towards Howell Island in the Pacific. Weather conditions were less than ideal. While still in radio communication, ships on the ground confirmed that Earhart was having difficulty finding the island. Ultimately, radio communications faded and died. The plane was never heard from again.

The disappearance of Amelia Earhart's plane resulted in the largest search and rescue operation to date. It also sparked rumors as to what caused the disappearance. To this day, theories and speculation still exists about the cause of the disappearance. Some theories involve conspiracies, and even alien abductions.

Celebrate by learning and reading about Amelia Earhart, and other female aviators. We do not recommend you spend time searching for her or her plane. The U.S. navy searched over 250,000 miles of ocean to no avail.

Embrace Your Geekness Day!

Embrace Your Geekness Day is a great day to be a Geek. Or, to know a Geek.

Steampunk Lincoln at
Geek Magazine booth
San Diego Comic Con
A geek is an individual who is highly intelligent (brainy) and technically oriented. They are most often associated with the computer, and computer systems world. A geek is usually formal, studious and into his technical world, often to the exclusion of all else. A geek is closely related to a "Nerd". A nerd however, may or may not possess technical expertise.

Some people view the term "Geek" with a negative connotation. Are they jealous of your knowledge and skills, perhaps? We certainly think so.

Enjoy Embrace Your Geekness Day to the fullest.

Believe it or not, Embrace Your Geekness Day is a copyrighted holiday created for fun and for profit by the good folks at Wellcat Holidays

Axel's Personal Energy Field Generator

*Axel Abernathy' Personal Energy Field Generator created with amethyst, smokey quartz, clear quartz, and citrine connected with copper wire for it's highly conductive properties. Genuine leather base for comfort.

This Personal Energy Field Generator not only projects crystal energy but stores energies around it for future use in protecting the wearer and projecting a force-field if necessary.

*Axel Abernathy is a character owned by Wolfy Miller

Crystal and Bits of Metal

Crystal surrounded by and dripping various metals
on an antiqued copper chain
Crystal with gunmetal, copper, and bronze
on a gunmetal chain
Crystal Dreamcather
All the crystals used were recycled from chandeliers.
Faery Lamp - golden butterfly and absinthe green glass
on a golden chain and lobster hook
A whimsical collection of pieces. The pictures don't do them justice (we need a better camera...ehem...). The crystals set of rainbows when you walk out into sunlight; the butterfly flits about, it is so light weight.
All pieces are One of a Kind! There will not be another like them again. Thus is the outcome of using recycled pieces.
